Inverness ⇄ Fort William/Glencoe Private Transfer | Door-to-Door Driver
Mile-for-mile, this is the most scenic transfer we run. The road follows Loch Ness for almost the whole first hour, runs along the Great Glen — a perfectly straight geological fault line that splits Scotland in half — and finishes in Glencoe, the valley you've definitely seen in a film even if you didn't know its name.
Pickup in Inverness, then south on the A82 along the western shore of Loch Ness — past Urquhart Castle, through Drumnadrochit, on to Fort Augustus and the Caledonian Canal locks. From there it's the Great Glen down to Spean Bridge (the Commando Memorial here has Glencoe's mountains lined up perfectly behind it — worth a stop), and finally into Fort William or onward through Glencoe itself.
Why book this transfer:
It's a proper scenic drive, not a slog — two hours of Loch Ness, mountains and the Great Glen
Door-to-door — pickup at your Inverness hotel, drop-off at your accommodation in Fort William, Glencoe Village, Ballachulish, Onich or anywhere local
Fixed price for the car — same price for 1 passenger or 7
Stop on the way at no extra charge — Urquhart Castle, Fort Augustus locks, Commando Memorial, the photo lay-bys most coaches don't bother with
Perfect for:
West Highland Way hikers starting in Fort William
Travellers booked on the Jacobite Steam Train (the one everyone calls the Hogwarts Express)
Skiers heading to Nevis Range
Anyone continuing to Oban, Mull or Skye via the Mallaig–Armadale ferry
